Case Study: Follow

EXPERIENCE LIFE

Change is possible. Author and pastor Graeme Anderson created an eight-part experience of the good life. We collaborated to break down the archetypes of the contemporary faith-genre to create a fresh experience of the “with-God life”.

The process for the brand and book began with the question: How do we want people to feel when experiencing Follow? The manifesto of the book is that life with God is not merely an intellectual pursuit, but an experience. It had a clear audience in mind, and a differentiated proposition. The vehicle of the message, the book, needed to visually support the message to itself be a statement of experience: we wanted readers to not only understand the book, but to feel it beyond words on a page from the moment they picked it up.

Space was created throughout for readers to ‘breathe’; a family of distinctive yet complimentary typefaces and colour palette for life and variety; photography was primarily shot with a mobile phone across three different countries to support the idea that everyday moments with God are what makes the life of discipleship.

The book is available through the follow.org.au website. An online course based on the book is also available.

NE PLUS ULTRA: The Latin phrase "ne plus ultra" literally means "no more beyond". It was said to be inscribed on the Pillars of Hercules at the Strait of Gibralter, warning to sailors not to travel beyond the edge of the known world. It's come to mean the highest point attainable, the peak of perfection, the ultimate.

That's what we want for your business, to enhance the lives of others by breaking out of your industry and setting a new standard. Not going where others have gone, but asking, "what business are we really in?", going beyond expectations, creating a proposition that's more valuable and meaningful to those we serve.
